An Ideal Infrastructure
Son Veri Nou convinces with a surprisingly wide range of shops. In addition to a convenience store, two banks and a small hardware store there is also a German dentist among the services. The residents also have a clinic and a private school. The latter was opened in 2004 as a cooperative - thus the teachers are motivated. The children are currently being cared for from pre-school to middle maturity. As 12 percent of the students come from German-speaking families, German is taught at the Colegio Son Veri Nou as a second foreign language.
Living in a Top Location
Anyone who has ever strolled through the car-free promenade and it has made themselves comfortable at the "Mirador", no longer questions the popularity of Son Veri Nous. For one, the picturesque rocky coast in many places has a direct access to the crystal clear sea. Secondly, the views over the bay of Palma and the Tramuntana Mountains are unique. When the sun goes down behind the mountain giants, you have a choice: Either a cosy evening at home or a trip to the island's capital, only 20 minutes away by car. The nightlife district of El Arenal can even be reached on foot.

Son Veri Nou is adjacent to the marina of El Arenal, which has a long history and a lively club scene. Among other things, the Real Club Nautico is the co-organiser of the annual Copa del Rey. A sailing school introduces the young to the art of sailing.
The rocky coast of Son Veri Nous is ideal for swimmers and snorkelers, as the water is very clear here. Also, most tourists prefer sandy beaches, so the locals are here usually amongst themselves. Children are attracted to the water park "Aqualand" in the immediate vicinity. Numerous slides and pools ensure safe fun for the whole family.
Golfers have the facility of Maiori virtually on their doorstep. Designed by Dieter Carbus, the 18-hole course was opened in 2006 and has a par of 72. The greens are surrounded by many pine trees which provide pleasant shade in summer.
