One perennially popular and convivial event, enjoyed by visitors and residents in the north of the island, will be taking place again on the weekend of 7th–8th May. This is the “Fira del Vi” – the wine fair at Santo Domingo Monastery in Pollensa.
Popularity of Majorcan wine on the rise
This year the organisers are once again expecting several thousand visitors from all over the world who can look forward to the pleasure of sampling numerous Majorcan wines. Accompanied by all kinds of little snacks, with cheese, olives, Iberian ham and many other goodies, visitors will be able to see for themselves why the exceptional quality of Majorcan wines now enjoys an international reputation.
More than 30 wine-makers at the Fira del Vi
The “Fira del Ví” is being held in Pollensa for the third time this year, although the over thirty participating wine-makers have unanimously agreed that this wine fair has already earned a fixed place on the local wine scene. Just one piece of advice from us: Better not drive after you’ve been to the fair.
