Launch of “Porta Holiday” at the beginning of 2013 in Majorca
The Porta Mondial real estate franchise system is expanding the scope of its business and is now awarding brand rights for holiday rentals under the name “Porta Holiday”. “Porta Holiday” will be launched first in Majorca, a place where Porta Mondial has been operating for some years: the first real estate brand, “Porta Mallorquina” was founded there in 2005. Daniela Große, an experienced tourism manager, is our Licence Partner there.
For Porta Mondial founder Joachim Semrau, this is a logical step:
“With around 20 real estate brands such as “Porta Mallorquina”, “Porta Ibiza” or “Porta Mondial Florida”, the Porta Mondial Group is one of the leading providers of international holiday real estate. When long-term lettings were introduced in Majorca we began receiving numerous holiday rental enquiries that we were not able to handle.”
For local property owners, the holiday rental option is an important marketing bonus:
“In Majorca we are the first real estate provider to offer this service from a single source. For owners who wish to sell their properties, in particular, this is an opportunity to generate income even during the marketing phase,”
Joachim Semrau points out with satisfaction. With just under 2,000 holiday properties in Majorca, Daniela Große has access to a substantial portfolio. Online bookings for the first holiday homes and apartments in Majorca should be possible by March 2013 on portaholiday.de – right on time for the summer season. To ensure that holidays get off to a smooth start, key handovers will take place directly at the airport at a dedicated Porta Holiday counter.
The German Porta Mondial partners are also pleased with this additional offer, as it is intended to offer Porta Holiday products in the home countries of the holidaymakers as well. Describing the synergy effects, Joachim Semrau says:
“In this way, our regional real estate agencies will offer still more added value, increasing customer footfall, and securing attractive additional commission for our partners in the event of successful mediation.”
