Increase in sales figures of holiday properties in Majorca in 2014

2014 has been a positive year for the entire real estate market in Majorca. As announced by the Spanish Statistical Office, INE, real estate sales rose throughout the Balearic Islands by 18.5% compared with the previous year. Majorca and its neighbouring islands thus stand significantly apart from market developments in the rest of the country; in Spain as a whole real estate sales rose by 2.2% – the first gain in four years. Balearic sales rise in September by 15.4%

The real estate markets in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are still on the rise. The Instituto Nacional de Estadística, INE, has reported 706 properties sold in September this year in the Balearic Islands, an increase of 15.4% on 2013. The demand from abroad for well-located holiday homes in Mallorca remains strong in 2014.
